US Open!

From the last post - we were talking about Hurricane Irene and her wrath.  Literally, the day after the hurricane - we hosted an event at work centered around the US Open. Generally speaking, I like to keep work and personal life separate here...but... there are a few things I want to share about this event!

First - I was able to stay at the legendary Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City!  This was the venue for the event on Monday and Wednesday and on Tuesday we hosted clients on the grounds of the US Open!  We had all access passes at the US Open on Tuesday and met tennis great Billie Jean King!

The Waldorf is such a cool hotel because of all the history and famous people that stayed there over the years.  We walked through the Grand Ballroom and imaged what parties were held there, the outfits people wore and the guests in attendance.  I felt very privileged to have a room for a few nights all to myself!

Second - as a thank you for the hard work - I was able to go to the US Open and sit court-side with a few colleagues!  We got to watch some top tennis stars and enjoy the beautiful day - nice way to wrap up a crazy work week!

Here are a few shots from the court!

  1. I am so glad you updated your blog :) Hard to believe that these sunny pictures were taken after "the hurricane". Looks like it was a fun time. I am happy you were able to stay in such a wonderful landmark and appreciate the history of it. By the way, you look marvelous at courtside, darling!! I really think you should take up tennis too!!
