Do you remember...

The 21st night of September?

This song by Earth, Wind and Fire was my Dad's favorite song and used to blast it every weekend, especially on Sundays before Church.  I am constantly reminded of him when I go to weddings and when we are out at a bar and here this song.  It brings back so many wonderful memories of him.

I miss everyday but many things allow me to know that he is still with us - and this song is at the top of the list.

  2. Kathryn-

I love this post. I haven't been to your site in a while, and I just happened to stumble across it today. To my surprise, this is the first thing I read.

First, that should show you that your father is still with you. My father continues to announce his presence as well. Dimes are his fun little game with me. When he first died, my mother and I (her in particular-- he wouldn't show up to me until some time) would hear coins hitting the floor...out of NOWHERE...and then find a dime on the ground. I remember moving into my new apartment and traversing the hallway countless times and then finding a dime lying right there, as if it had been there the whole time.

Cherish those little signs he has for you, cause that's all we get for now...

    Hope all is well.
