Flower class flavor

Tonight there is another flower class in Hoboken.  I decided I wanted to try a new cookie recipe and after scanning through my recipe books, I found a chocolate hazelnut cookie that sounded really good!  And the technique to make the cookies was something I had never done before, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to give it a shot.

I started by rolling the cookie dough into long rectangles, layering them on top of one another and then rolling the dough into logs.  Then I took a sharp knife and cut each cookie from the log.

Here is the finished product after about 13 minutes in a 375 degree oven:

I think I will name these cookies Chocolatey Hazelnut Pinwheels!

I hope the attendees at the class enjoy them tonight!

Do you have any baking techniques that you have mastered?

  1. Wow - these look great too!!! You have to start freezing a sample of each cookie so we can try them out!!

So glad you are back on track with blog updates. They are fun to read!
